In 2090, since we all moved towards the MetaVerse, even though we are still physically living in the environment, no one cares about the construction of the real world anymore. My teammates (Jingjing & Qiongting) and I decided to dive into that scene a bit more: What will that world look like? When the outside becomes a total disaster due to carelessness, and we are trapped in the apartment boxes, all the past sweet memories, fantasy dreams and disappeared nature are also trapped in the digital box.
We started the whole project by exploring the box switching technique, which was inspired by the game called Moncage. The main technique used is called the Stencil Buffer, which is to use stencils to create volumes that share the same space via the portal technique.
